Joseph Mercurio practices workers’ compensation defense representing employers, insurance carriers and TPAs throughout New York.
He handles all stages of workers’ compensation matters from initial claim petition, pre-trial conference, mediation if viable and through to trial, if necessary. Joe understands the importance of regular communication with his clients and provides status updates and risk exposure analysis throughout the litigation process.
In addition, Joe also has mediation experience and handle various mediation disputes involving tenants and landlords and various business matters including contract disputes.
While attending law school, Joe received the Presidential Scholarship and earned the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award given to students who have devoted over 100 hours of pro bono and/or community service work during law school. He also interned for The Honorable Anthony Giacobbe of the New York State Supreme Court.
