Meron Dagnew is an experienced attorney who represents clients in a broad range of civil matters. Licensed in Texas and Georgia, she brings a varied background in public- and private-sector practice, with experience handling disputes, regulatory matters, and appeals on behalf of individuals, businesses, professionals, and government clients.

Prior to joining Chartwell, Meron served as an Assistant Attorney General, where she handled civil litigation and regulatory enforcement matters on behalf of state agencies and public officials. Her work included bench trials, tribunal proceedings, motion practice, administrative hearings, and appeals, including matters in which she obtained reversals on appeal. She also advised agency clients on statutory and regulatory issues and served as designated lead counsel to the State Ethics Commission for statewide campaign finance and candidate disclosure enforcement actions.

In private practice, Meron represented individuals, businesses, and professionals in commercial disputes, professional licensing and disciplinary proceedings, and other civil matters. She also served as network counsel for a teachers’ labor organization.

Meron earned her J.D. from Duke University School of Law and her B.S., cum laude, in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Houston.
