

Sarah Izzell-Cutler represents employers, insurance professionals, and individuals in a variety of litigation matters, bringing experience in workers’ compensation, family law, and civil litigation. She works closely with clients to evaluate claims and pursue efficient resolutions tailored to their unique goals and circumstances.
In her workers’ compensation practice, Sarah advises employers and insurers on claim evaluation, compensability issues, litigation strategy, and risk management considerations. She has experience handling contested claims through mediation, evidentiary hearings, and settlement negotiations, and regularly assists clients in managing complex procedural and regulatory requirements.
Sarah has also represented clients in a broad range of family law matters involving child custody, property distribution, support disputes, and negotiated settlements.
Prior to entering private practice, Sarah served as a Research Assistant to a judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where she conducted legal research, drafted opinions and memoranda, and reviewed proposed opinions for accuracy and citation compliance. This experience provided her with valuable insight into appellate practice and judicial decision-making.
Sarah earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Campbell University School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship and a Book Award in Civil Procedure II. She obtained dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and English from North Carolina State University, graduating summa cum laude.
