(Philadelphia, PA) — Chartwell continues its strategic growth in the Midwest with the addition of partner Phillip Raine to its Kansas City office, further strengthening the firm’s nationally recognized transportation practice.
Chartwell has been part of the Kansas City community for years, but the past year has marked a period of accelerated growth, including the addition of a new office and the expansion of several core practices. Among them, transportation litigation has seen particularly significant momentum, and Raine’s arrival positions the firm to build on that success in Kansas City and beyond.
Raine brings more than a decade of litigation experience representing corporations, insurers, transportation companies, and individuals across Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. His practice concentrates on trucking and transportation defense, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, property damage disputes, and regulatory compliance. With extensive trial and arbitration experience, Raine has built a reputation as both a persuasive litigator and a trusted counselor to clients dealing with demanding, high-impact cases.
“Phil is exactly the kind of attorney who represents the future of this firm” said Chartwell partner Larry Hall. “His experience in transportation litigation and his proven leadership in the Kansas City legal community are tremendous assets to our clients and our firm. We’re excited to have him on board as we continue growing in the region.”
Raine joins Chartwell with a dedicated support team, enabling him to immediately contribute to the firm’s expanding transportation group while further developing client relationships in the Midwest. In addition, to his practice, he has held key leadership roles within the Lawyers Association of Kansas City, where he currently serves as President-Elect and Vice President, and is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
