(Philadelphia, PA) — Chartwell is pleased to announce that Robert Sylvester has joined the firm as a partner in its Tampa, Florida office. Sylvester expands Chartwell’s Florida presence and strengthens the firm’s civil litigation capabilities across key industries including hospitality, retail, real estate, and insurance.
Sylvester brings extensive experience representing businesses, associations, insurers, and individuals in matters ranging from personal injury defense and property damage claims to breach of contract disputes and motor vehicle accident litigation. His practice also includes advising clients on risk management strategies and defending claims for hotels, restaurants, homeowners’ associations, and condominium associations.
“Robert is a dynamic litigator whose breadth of experience will add significant value to our clients,” said Florida partner, Derek Lloyd. “He not only has the technical skill to guide cases through resolution, but also the leadership qualities and collaborative mindset that align perfectly with Chartwell’s culture.”
Sylvester’s career began with judicial experience as a staff attorney in Florida’s Fourteenth Judicial Circuit and as a judicial extern for the First District Court of Appeal. He has since built a wide-ranging practice that combines strong litigation skills with practical guidance for a diverse client base. Known for his mentorship and ability to build strong legal teams, Sylvester has earned a reputation for delivering consistent, results-driven service.
His addition reflects Chartwell’s continued growth across Florida and nationwide, as the firm approaches nearly 300 attorneys serving clients in more than 30 offices.
