Chartwell attorney Lindsay Lee recently contributed to the latest issue of The Atlanta Lawyer, providing a recap of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Women’s History Month program.
Co-moderated by Lindsay, the panel brought together an accomplished group of women attorneys and a federal court judge to share candid insights on career development, leadership, credibility, and the realities of gender-based challenges in the legal profession. Drawing on a wide range of experiences across private practice, in-house roles, and the judiciary, the discussion highlighted how leadership evolves over time, as well as the importance of preparation, consistency, adaptability, and confidence early in a legal career.
Lindsay’s article captures the key themes from the program, including the often non-linear nature of legal careers, the importance of recognizing leadership in oneself, and the value of persistence. It also offers guidance for the next generation of attorneys working to define success on their own terms.
