Alexander “Alex” Blishteyn is a seasoned trial attorney with more than two decades of experience defending clients in general liability and insurance defense matters. His practice centers on sophisticated, high-exposure litigation involving personal injury, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and other civil disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

Alex has extensive experience representing corporate clients in the gig economy and transportation sectors, including matters involving rental vehicles, moving, and storage operations. In addition to his trial work, Alex is well-versed in alternative dispute resolution, frequently representing clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings nationwide.

Before joining Chartwell, Alex spent nearly twenty years as in-house trial counsel at a major national insurance carrier, where he represented clients in all stages of litigation—from initial investigation through trial and appeal. This experience gave him a deep understanding of the insurance industry’s internal processes, risk management strategies, and expectations for outside counsel—knowledge he now leverages to deliver highly responsive, results-driven representation for Chartwell’s clients.

Since joining the firm, Alex has played a key role in expanding Chartwell’s relationships with national insurance carriers and institutional clients, helping to strengthen partnerships and broaden the firm’s reach across state lines. His approach to client development emphasizes persistence, communication, and trust—principles that continue to guide his work as both a litigator and mentor within the firm.

Alex’s “client-first” philosophy, attention to detail, and practical approach to litigation have resulted in numerous favorable verdicts, judicial dismissals, and negotiated resolutions. He is valued by clients and colleagues alike for his professionalism, insight, and commitment to excellence.

Outside of his legal practice, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and working on technology and electronics projects.
