Alexander M. Goerss is a seasoned litigator who represents national and international insurers, businesses, and commercial clients in a broad range of litigation matters. His practice focuses on first-party property insurance defense, maritime and cruise line litigation, and general liability matters, with additional experience handling commercial litigation, real estate disputes, trusts and estates litigation, and tax-related matters.

Alexander regularly advises insurers and corporate clients through all stages of litigation, from early case assessment and strategy development through resolution. He understands the importance of clear and consistent communication, providing clients with regular status updates and risk exposure analyses tailored to their unique business objectives.

In his first-party property practice, Alexander represents carriers in coverage disputes and high-exposure claims involving residential and commercial losses. He also handles maritime and cruise line matters, including defense of passenger and crew claims, as well as a variety of general liability claims, bringing a measured and holistic approach to all aspects of litigation. Alexander earned his LL.M. and J.D. from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University. He is a member of the Florida Bar Business Section, and the Dade County Bar Association.
