Allison Edgar Gylfe brings more than a decade of experience in general liability defense to her role at Chartwell. She has represented individuals, businesses, and insurers in a wide range of matters, including automobile and trucking accidents, negligent security, premises liability, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and property damage claims. Known for her collaborative style and results-driven advocacy, Allison has successfully defended hundreds of cases from pre-suit evaluation through jury verdict, including those involving high-exposure and extra-contractual risk.
Before joining Chartwell, Allison worked at both boutique insurance defense firms and as in-house counsel for a major national insurance carrier. She is highly skilled in managing complex discovery, expert depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. In addition to her litigation work, Allison previously managed a law firm of ten employees and led its transition to a fully digital case management platform.
Allison earned her J.D. from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2015, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Jurisprudence. She holds a B.A. from the University of Florida and is admitted to practice before all Georgia state courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Houston County Bar Association.
Outside of the courtroom, Allison enjoys life in downtown Perry with her husband and son. A dedicated fitness and outdoor enthusiast, she takes pride in balancing her professional commitments with an active, family-centered lifestyle.
