Abriana Horton counsels and defends businesses across a wide range of litigation matters. Her practice focuses on general liability and commercial litigation, with particular experience in retail and hospitality liability, premises liability, products liability, construction litigation, and wrongful death matters.
Abriana represents businesses in multiple industries and is frequently engaged in matters involving significant exposure, including catastrophic injuries and wrongful death claims. She handles all phases of litigation, including pre-suit strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediation, and trial. Her work in premises litigation is informed by a deep understanding of the unique operational and liability concerns faced by hospitality and retail clients.
In addition to her litigation practice, Abriana advises businesses on transactional and risk-management issues, working closely with clients to develop litigation strategies tailored to the specific needs and complexities of their operations. She takes a business-minded approach, focused on achieving efficient and effective outcomes.
Before entering private practice, Abriana gained significant experience in tax litigation, representing businesses in large-scale tax disputes while working with the Internal Revenue Service’s Large Business and International Division. In that role, she handled tax controversies exceeding $5 million, providing her with valuable insight into complex financial and regulatory issues that continues to inform her litigation practice.
Outside of her practice, Abriana enjoys traveling and exploring new hiking trails.
