Taylor George brings more than two decades of experience in complex litigation and insurance defense to Chartwell. A distinguished trial attorney, he has extensive experience handling high-stakes matters, with multiple trials to verdict involving bodily injury, property damage, and products liability claims.

As a Navy JAG, Taylor served on both active duty and in the reserves for 22 years, including a combat deployment to Iraq. His leadership and commitment to service are further reflected in his volunteer work, where he dedicates time each year to assisting veterans and service members with legal matters involving the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Before joining Chartwell, Taylor spent 11 years with another firm as a partner and lead trial and appellate attorney handling complex litigation. His dynamic background includes significant experience in multistate litigation and a proven track record in business development, making him an integral part of the firm’s expansion and client acquisition efforts.

Taylor is highly experienced in federal court litigation and is admitted to practice before all three federal district courts in Florida, both federal district courts in West Virginia, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fourth and Eleventh Circuits.

His legal background is complemented by his financial and management experience, including work involving personal injury defense, construction litigation, premises liability, and aviation litigation. He has successfully defended a wide range of matters, including:

  • Sheppard v. Tractor Supply Company in 2025, after a year and a half of intense litigation, when the Circuit Court of Citrus County, FL, ruled that Florida’s impact rule barred plaintiff’s claims,
  • Universal Property & Casualty v. Laguna Riviera, 386 So.3d 629 (Fla. 2d DCA 2024),
  • Marrero v. Marina Del Rey Homeowners Association, Inc. 361 So.3d 867 (Fla. 5th DCA 2023),
  • State ex rel Ferrell v. McGraw, 842 S.E.2d 445 (W.Va. 2020),
  • Doe v. Blair; 819 F.3d 64 (4th Cir. 2016)
  • Bland v. State of West Virginia, 737 S.E.2d 291 (W.Va. 2012).

Taylor’s commitment to excellence is recognized by numerous awards and honors, including his designation as a Fleet Marine Force Warfare Officer and his receipt of the Iraq Campaign Medal.

Outside of the courtroom, Taylor's background as a former firefighter, paramedic, and rescue specialist further highlights his dedication to serving others in every possible capacity.
