Joseph D’Amico is a Partner at Chartwell and a Pennsylvania workers’ compensation attorney with more than 30 years of experience handling claims and litigating matters across the full spectrum of the Workers’ Compensation Act. Joe has spent decades guiding workers’ compensation matters through resolution, navigating disputed medical issues, conflicting expert opinions, complex evidentiary records, and hearings before judges with widely varying judicial styles. He is well respected for his professionalism and ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders involved in the claims process.

Joe is a Certified Specialist in the Practice of Workers’ Compensation Law, as designated by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section of Workers’ Compensation Law and authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court—an achievement held by a select group of practitioners in the Commonwealth. He is also a frequent speaker and educator on workers’ compensation topics, having presented at Pennsylvania Bar Institute seminars and to medical professionals and employer representatives on recent case law developments, including PTSD claims involving first responders and practical strategies for managing workers’ compensation claims.

Outside of his legal practice, Joe is an accomplished musician who plays guitar and piano. He also enjoys hiking in cold-weather destinations, including Alaska, Iceland, and Canada.
