Kimberly A. Zabroski focuses her practice on workers’ compensation litigation representing insurance carriers and self-insured employers, most notably airlines.

Having handled hundreds of workers’ compensation claims throughout Pennsylvania and North Carolina, Kim has an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of medical conditions including toxic exposure and air quality injuries, repetitive trauma injuries, psychiatric and stress-related injuries, cardiac injuries, specific loss injuries and general orthopedic conditions.

Kim has evaluated, tried and appealed many types of cases before the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board, the North Carolina Industrial Commission, and in state and federal courts. Her successful litigation at the North Carolina Supreme Court in the matter of Shaw v. US Airways, Inc., 665 S.E. 2d 449 (N.C. 2008) led to a significant court ruling that an employer’s contributions to an employee’s retirement account are not included in the calculation of the employee’s weekly wage for workers’ compensation purposes.

Kim is a dedicated and active member of the legal community. She was recently appointed to a second three-year term to serve as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Workers’ Compensation Certification Committee, 2019 – present.
