Len Kushnir

Len Kushnir has comprehensive experience in defending liability-related claims against his clients. Len represents property owners, bars and restaurants, business owners, trucking companies, and insurance companies in a variety of general liability defense matters. He represents clients in matters involving premises liability, largescale property loss, Dram Shop claims, negligent security, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, trucking incidents and wrongful death cases.

An experienced trial attorney, Len argues cases before the Appellate Courts in New York and New Jersey. He handles all phases of insurance defense litigation and conducts jury trials to verdict. Some of his recent successes include:

• Prevailing on an appeal of summary judgment denial in the representation of a large-scale multiple dwelling landlord, in a premises liability case, with a demand of $800,000.
• Obtaining a defense verdict representing a bar and restaurant in a premises liability case with a $650,000 demand. Verdict upheld on appeal.
• Obtaining a defense verdict representing a large national retail pharmacy in premises liability matter, where plaintiff alleged that employees that he was injured due to contact with pharmacy employees who were stocking shelves, causing him to fall.

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, he was an attorney at a New Jersey commercial and insurance claims law firm. Prior to that, Mr. Kushnir served as managing attorney of the New York office of a regional law firm that represented clients in civil litigation.
