Shari Gegerson Hall brings more than three decades of experience to her practice, with a broad background encompassing workers’ compensation litigation and mediation, subrogation, insurance defense, coverage opinions, automobile litigation, and premises liability. She has worked with a wide range of clients, including insureds, self-insureds, employers, and insurance carriers, offering practical guidance informed by both litigation and claims-handling perspectives.
Shari’s career reflects a deep understanding of workers’ compensation from multiple vantage points. Prior to joining Chartwell Law, she served as a managing member of a mediation firm, where she acted as a mediator in workers’ compensation claims and first-party insurance disputes. She began mediating in 1997 and became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator in 2001, bringing decades of experience helping parties manage complex disputes toward resolution.
Shari has also held leadership roles within the insurance industry, including serving as a managing attorney for a national insurance company. In that role, she established and oversaw all aspects of the Orlando House Counsel office, managing personnel, litigation strategy, and day-to-day operations. Earlier in her career, she worked for the State of Florida as a mediation officer in mandatory state mediation, further strengthening her foundation in dispute resolution and claims evaluation.
Rounding out her practice, Shari remains actively engaged in workers’ compensation litigation and mediation, drawing on her extensive experience to advise clients on risk assessment, dispute resolution, and effective claims strategies. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers for 2026 in Workers’ Compensation Law – Employers in Orlando, Florida, reflecting her long-standing commitment to the practice and the clients she serves.
