Steven R. Perkel is an accomplished trial attorney with decades of experience representing insurers, self-insured entities, and businesses in litigation throughout New York. His practice focuses on New York Labor Law, construction litigation, premises liability, and property damage matters, where he skillfully handles high-exposure cases with precision and insight.
Steven has extensive courtroom experience, having tried numerous cases to verdict and second-chaired many others with successful outcomes, including defense and directed verdicts. He is particularly well-versed in the nuances of New York Labor Law, including §§ 200, 240, and 241(6), and has managed a wide range of catastrophic injury and construction-related claims involving significant damages exposure.
In addition to his trial work, Steven is highly skilled in motion practice, depositions, mediation, and settlement negotiations. Outside of his practice, Steven enjoys watching films, following soccer, football, and baseball, and spending time with his family.
