Beginning January 1, 2026, the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission will enforce new civil penalties for self-insurers and insurance carriers who fail to make required reports under Code of Virginia § 65.2-902(a).
Non-compliance may result in fines of at least $500. This change drives home the importance of timely and accurate reporting for all self-insurers and carriers operating in Virginia.
