Nathaniel D. Tobin focuses his practice on first-party and third-party insurance coverage, insurance defense, and insurance litigation cases. He has extensive experience representing and defending numerous insurance companies in a variety of first- and third-party matters.  Nathaniel has also represented individuals in a range of civil matters, including bankruptcies, foreclosures, contract disputes, and claims involving personal injury, automotive liability, and construction defects.

Originally from Pittsburgh, he was a John Marshall Scholar at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and graduated with honors from the University of Miami School of Law.  While at UM Law, he served as a Fellow at the Center for Ethics and Public Service and a legal intern for the Honorable William M. Hoeveler, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.  

Prior to joining Chartwell Law, Nathaniel was an attorney with a large Miami-based litigation firm where he concentrated on insurance defense and complex commercial and construction disputes.  His volunteer service includes working as a pro bono attorney for both the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office and Legal Services of Greater Miami, where he provided legal counsel to low-income families in landlord/tenant matters.
