(Philadelphia, PA) — Chartwell is pleased to announce that Garett Willig has joined the firm as a partner in its newly established Houston office. A seasoned civil litigator with more than 15 years of experience, Garett brings a well-established practice representing businesses, insurers, and other institutional clients throughout Texas.
Operating out of Houston, Garett will play an important role in building Chartwell’s presence in the region while providing clients with experienced, locally based counsel backed by the resources of the firm’s broader national platform.
“Houston is an important market for many of the clients we serve, and Garett gives us the experience and local presence to better support them there,” said Chartwell Partner Elizabeth Cavallaro. “He understands the Texas litigation environment and has spent his career building strong relationships with clients in the region. We’re excited to have him help establish Chartwell in Houston and contribute to our overall growth in Texas.”
Throughout his career, Garett has handled a wide range of civil matters, including claims arising from premises and products liability, construction, transportation, and professional services. His experience encompasses individual lawsuits as well as large portfolios of litigation, giving him insight into both the demands of individual cases and the broader considerations facing companies and insurers managing risk across multiple matters.
Garett also brings significant leadership experience to Chartwell. In addition to maintaining an active litigation practice, he has overseen attorneys handling matters across multiple jurisdictions and has been closely involved in mentoring and developing younger lawyers.
Garett earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and his B.A. in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He is admitted to practice in Texas.
