J. Grant Stringham primarily focuses his practice on general liability and commercial litigation. He also has experience across a range of other practice areas, including business disputes, professional liability, product liability, premises liability, and personal injury. In addition, Grant serves as assistant firm counsel in litigation matters.
During his time at Chartwell, he has guided individual clients, small businesses, and Fortune 25 companies through the litigation process, from jury trials to successful appeals before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Chartwell, Grant was a Judicial Fellow to the Honorable Ellen Ceisler in Philadelphia, PA, drafting opinions in the areas of constitutional law while addressing the complexities of Philadelphia’s city planning overlays and commercial developments. He was also a law clerk at a prestigious plaintiffs’ firm in Philadelphia, PA.
In law school, Grant served as a representative for the Student Bar Association and on both the Administrative and Student Affairs Committees. During that time, he provided pro bono service as a Constitutional Law instructor at South Philadelphia High School through the Marshall-Brennan Literacy Project.
Prior to law school, Grant discovered an affinity for wine and apprenticed under a sommelier and a Master of Wine in Oregon before taking a sommelier position in Salt Lake City. In his free time, Grant enjoys outdoor sports and activities, traveling with his family, and walking his dog.
