Rwan Hardesty

Rwan Hardesty is an experienced trial attorney who defends clients in some of the most challenging civil disputes, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and other high-exposure liability matters. She represents insurers and self-insured businesses throughout every stage of litigation, balancing assertive advocacy with thoughtful, strategic risk management and early case evaluation.

Rwan has extensive experience defending first-party and third-party insurance claims while partnering closely with carriers to develop litigation strategies that align with business objectives. Her practice includes defending multi-million-dollar catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims requiring sophisticated analysis, litigation strategy, coordinated defense efforts, and navigation of multiple layers of insurance coverage.

Throughout her career, Rwan has represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings. She has substantial experience conducting and defending depositions, arguing dispositive motions, managing complex discovery, negotiating settlements, and preparing cases for trial. She is also experienced in appellate advocacy, having drafted briefs for appellate courts across Texas.

In addition to her litigation practice, Rwan has held leadership roles supervising attorneys and paralegals, managing litigation dockets, and overseeing firm operations. Earlier in her career, she founded and grew a successful litigation practice, leading a team of attorneys while handling a diverse caseload and guiding the firm's strategic growth.

Beyond her legal practice, Rwan has remained active in the legal and local community. She has served as a mock trial coach, adjunct professor teaching paralegal studies and law, moot court coach, and mentor to law students. She has also contributed her time to numerous professional and civic organizations throughout Texas.

Rwan earned her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She also holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from San Diego State University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
